Fergie in lede
[edit]This article is pretty incomplete if Fergie isn't mentioned in the lede. All of Black Eyed Peas' most famous songs were released when she was part of the band, and it's pretty confusing to not have her mentioned right off the bat, and instead be relegated to lower down the article and in the infobox. My suggested changed would be something along these lines: "Black Eyed Peas (also known as The Black Eyed Peas) is an American musical group consisting of rappers will.i.am, apl.de.ap, Taboo and J. Rey Soul. The group's most well known line-up featured Fergie, who replaced Kim Hill in 2002 and was replaced by Soul in 2018." --Cerebral726 (talk) 13:24, 26 July 2021 (UTC)

[edit]In section History > 2015–2018: Fergie's departure, addition of J. Rey Soul, and Masters of the Sun, the following sentence appears.
On June 3, 2017, they performed at the opening ceremony of the 2017 UEFA Champions League Final in the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff, Wales. The performance, which included a pyrotechnic display, ran long and delayed the second-half kickoff by several minutes.
It actually delayed the match kick-off, not the second half: the opening ceremony took place before the game, not at half time. See live report here: https://www.theguardian.com/football/live/2017/jun/03/juventus-v-real-madrid-champions-league-final-2017-live?page=with:block-5932cbb9e4b0bdd87e2f2df5
Suggested edit: Remove "the second-half", so sentence reads "...ran long and delayed kickoff by several minutes." 151.21.178.52 (talk) 14:07, 26 October 2021 (UTC)

Mooky Mook left the group in 1995, and Eazy-E died of HIV/AIDS.
Should be changed to Mooky Mook left the group in 1995.
The death of Eazy_E doesn't pertain to the group. 216.24.45.33 (talk) 16:31, 8 June 2022 (UTC)
- Not done for now: Maybe the wording could be adjusted, but I believe the context of paragraph is Easy E signed them to his label, but due to Mooky leaving the group and Easy E's passing, the contract was stalled. WikiVirusC(talk) 22:02, 15 June 2022 (UTC)
J Rey Soul member status
[edit]In their last two recent albums, she was never mentioned in any press release being officially part of the group. The album arts has been consistently branded with just the three original founding members (Taboo, will.i.am, apl.de.ap) Also, J Rey Soul is only creditedon Mamacita, Filipina Queen and Double Dz as a featured artist. If she is officially a member, she wouldn't be a featured artist. I cannot find a press release regarding any announcement besides that she goes on tour with the group. I think J Rey Soul as an independent artist on her own but associated with the group. –A6397 T A L K! 15:40, 20 November 2022 (UTC)
- She's a credited as a featured artist because of how streaming platforms operate. It's like how the Silk Sonic song Leave the Door Open is officially credited to Bruno Mars, Anderson .Paak (both the members of Silk Sonic), and Silk Sonic, so that when people search for either Bruno Mars, Anderson .Paak, or Silk Sonic, that song will show up, instead of just for silk sonic. Also how on Spotify all the songs on 100 Gecs' album 1000 Gecs and two of their singles have the artists listed as 100 Gecs, Laura Les, and Dylan Brady (again, both of the members of 100 Gecs). Those are just the ones I know off the top of my head, there's a lot of label politics that goes on behind the scenes, Her being credited as a featured artist doesn't mean she's not a member. To be fair it's the same with Kim Hill who was only on a handful of BEP tracks but performed every live with them just like J Rey Soul and is still considered a member. - K-popguardian (talk) 10:35, 7 December 2022 (UTC)
Why doesn't Elevation have a page of its own?
[edit]Why doesn't Black Eyed Peas's latest album have a page of its own? Hellokitty6666 (talk) 02:38, 20 February 2023 (UTC)
@Hellokitty6666: Anyone on Wikipedia could make a page, you can attempt to make one if you want. HOWEVER, the sources that you use must demonstrate the notability of the subject. For example its wide chart and sales performances, or news articles (NOT stuff like TMZ or People Magazine), that have Elevationas their main subject. - K-popguardian (talk) 18:40, 21 February 2023 (UTC)
